Recently, I am hooked on Korean dishes after watching Korean dramas.
I especially like "sundubu-jjigae", and I enjoy eating it with white rice and "soju" (Korian shochu).
The strong tasete of sundubu-jjigae is great with the clean, refreshing taste of soju.
Korean soju, such as Chamisul, is available in a wide range of flavors, and is easy to drink because it has little harshness.
The alcoholic strength of Korean shochu is lower than that of Japanese shochu, and taste is more clear because of using several ingredients (rice, potato, corn, tapioca,,).
Because Korea has a cold climate, spicy dishes and alcohol soju that warm the body seem to be especially popular.
I haven’t been to Korea yet, but I’ve started making plans to visit in the spring.
Chamisul is a trap. It's easy to drink, yet packs a strong alcohol punch...
返信削除I love sundubu and make it often, but mine isn't very spicy.
Korea sounds great! Have a wonderful trip~.
Thanks for the comment! I agree chamisul is a trap. I always regret it…
削除Making sundubu yourself is great since you can control the taste.
I hope I can find some delicious sundubu in Korea!
