I went to a Chinese restaurant in Nagoya last weekend with my friend from China.
I love spicy food, so we got a hot and numbing mala soup with a ton of red hot chilis and Sichuan peppercorns. The soup also had some duck blood (it's called yaxue) and tripe.
The soup had a really nice smell with a lot of herbs and the blood and tripe were really nice.
Also, it was the perfect amount spicy and it felt really nice going down.
What we ate was a traditional food of Nanjing and I went there a long time ago, so it was a nice memory to get some of the original dish.
Looks really authentic! It, however, looks too spicy for me, so I’ll pass.
返信削除That makes sense, it was very spicy. Still, I was happy to find such an authentic taste.
